When I saw this Bastogne Walnut slab, I knew I had to run a river that would bring out the incredible color and figure it displayed. The colors in this slab ranged from light brown to black, so rather than compete with this natural palette with a colored epoxy, I decided to go with either an opaque black finish or a pearl white finish. I ultimately chose pearl white because it added a sharp contrast with the wood and was a color I had been eagerly waiting to use for quite some time. This was the perfect slab for that.

I paired this top with bare aluminum legs, which, given the whiteness of the river, complimented the table nicely by keeping this piece bright yet sophisticated.
